Hello! I'm Lyrkit!

I tried many ways to memorize English words and found the most effective one for me!

We already have all the words of the songs that we have heard throughout our lives in our memory. We simply did not pay attention to them, but we all already hear them!

I noticed that when you learn a new word from a song that you have already heard before, you already know the translation of this word forever and you will never forget it!

I want to share this method with you. So, the scheme is as follows.

We find songs that we have already heard.

We add all unfamiliar words from them.

We pass mini tests of memory games. done

Now that you know a lot of words, you will very quickly come to know the whole language!

I bet you'll be surprised how effective this method is!)

An Icicle In The Sun

An Icicle In The Sun

(album: In The Long Grass - 1984)

I know you're brilliant and young
You're like an icicle in the sun
You sparkle and you shine, okay
And one day soon you'll melt away
Fade away, melt away

Do, do do do, do do do do, do do do...
Do, do do do, do do do do, do do do...

It's 6'o clock, and growing colder
And nobody looks out on the bay
But now they're sparking up the window

Well I can see her cry
The water glistening in her eye
Trickle down and caught the line
And crash down, quenching

Yeah you're brilliant and young
But no one said it's any fun
I know you heard somebody say
"Every dog must have it's day," -It's not your day, bark away

Do, do do do, do do do do, do do do...
Do, do do do, do do do do, do do do...

It's 8'o clock, I'm growing older
She wonders why they stay away
It just don't fit in like it used to

The meter's running out
She gets another shooting-out
She sighs and then she settles down
Another evening...

I know you're brilliant and young
You burst and now your time has come
Where I stand to look, okay
Well I remember you this way, come this way, don't delay

Play the worn out tape, the one that has you smiling
Play the parts with ease, where even they survive
Turn the volume down, and all the old excuses

The ones that said "I Do"
I would if I could, it's true
'Cause when you're old there's nothing new
But just remember

When you're brilliant and young
It's sad to see what you've become
And you just want to shake and shout
Leave somewhere, they're going out
And straighten them among the crowd
The cobbles in the blackest shroud, ooh ooh

When you're brilliant and young
You're like an icicle in the sun, number one, rule of thumb

Do, do do do, do do do do, do do do...
