Each and every single one of us has made a mistake
Yeah, we make another, feel as if they're shamed and afraid
God, I'm walking on these egg shells and saving the face
Scared to death of happiness, as if we'll take it away
You can say that I've been part of it, I'm guilty of that
It made me feel better to do, when I was filthy and cracked
Feel me, it's bad; everyone's as human as you
One and the same, stuck on telling you what you shouldn't do
As if we all know better, what'll happen in life
Like we've been given the answers, and yeah, we can't get it right
But the silver lining that we find in horrible plight
Is that we learn a little more about the war that we fight
We still need help to rebuild within society
We see another struggle and think, "It doesn't apply to me"
That's where you're wrong, together we are strong
But it's hard to help another when you got things going on
I guess

I'm human, and I do fall down
But it's the way I react that defines me now
I know that if I trust my heart
That it'll lead me to a better life and out of the dark
I swear sometimes
That I can feel the weight straight breaking my back
And I swear sometimes
The way to make it go away is all in how you react

In time I've developed an entire personality
Reflecting all my demons in the fight that I've been battling
I used to laugh a lot, I used to love my life
I used to rip it on the mic and I was nothing nice
But as the years went by, I felt the pressure of stardom
And started following fads, and it made me lesser
The fans noticed it, alienated them
And I blamed it on 'em when it didn't work, and I hated them
But what I've learned is, that it's my own fault
For ever doubting myself and letting the flows fall
They say I'm so soft, they want the hard call
Lyricism that imprisoned the soul that I fought for
Through different parts of life and discovery
And I had to let that part of me just die to uncover me
But I'm back, stronger than ever; ready to make a wave
