Rasta Love

Rasta Love

(Album: 7 Year Itch - 2011)

[Chorus Ky-Mani Marley:]
And she didn't know how
To tell him
She was in love with a rastaman
Fire was burning', and burning,
To let out what she was holding in

And she didn't know how,
To tell him,
She was in love with a rastaman
Fire was burning', and burning'
To let out what she was holding in...

[Verse 1 Protoje:]
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Know her story before she say it,
Daddy just want her cooperate.
Find somebody that's corporate.
Suit and tie more appropriate.

Him, see him no, make his daughter stray.
But reggae music she start for play it.
Italian food when she salt her plate.
Militant youth when she want for date.
And that is what she need.
Marcus Garvey she start for read.
Hair stop combing, and it start looking neat.
So him, want to keep her off the street from who she with.
And that be me.
More than a Naughty head, this is what she see.
No lovers leap is not for me.
And she don't want to keep it a secret
but she can't tell him who she sleep with.

[Chorus Ky-Mani Marley:]
She didn't know how,
To tell him
She was in love with a Rastaman
Fire was burning, and burning,
To let out what she was holding I

[Verse 2 Protoje:]
And she wants to be free.
From all this captivity.
So she'll be who she will be
They can't tell her who she need.
They can't tell her who she want.
Who she can't, she has her own chance.
Chart of her own plot
And colour of her own heart?
Call me over her own apartment
Now as I answer the phone that's the tone she start with.
She know see, she no for part with.
One like I, even though so much impart it.
But she has to do her own a thing.
God she can never live life of them.
Not Knowing that she will look back when,
to the time when she could not explain to him because then.

[Chorus Ky-Mani Marley:]
And she didn't know how
To tell him
She was in love with a Rastaman
Fire was burning, and burning
To let out what she was holding in
And she didn't know how
To tell him
She was in love with a Rastaman
Fire was burning, and burning
To let out what she was holding in.
