Who's Watching The Watcher?

Who's Watching The Watcher?

(Album: Chameleon - 1976)

Who's watching the watcher?
Tell me who's keeping an eye
On those who claim to be keepers
Sitting safe with their view from the sky
Who is watching their morals
Tell me who says they're okay
Oh, won't you tell me who is gonna protect us
When it's a watchman's holiday
Does anybody care
Nobody seems to care when they've got their share of the pie
Does anybody care?
Nobody seems to care until the water's rising high

Now tell me who's watching the watcher
Who's keeping an eye
Who's watching the watcher
Who's keeping an eye

Who sees their ambitions
Tell me who collects what they pay
And where is it all leading
Is it known, for no one will say
I don't know where they're going
I'm never for sure
Now that they're expanding
Standing guard on my front door
Does anybody care
Nobody seems to care when they've got their share of the pie
Does anybody care
Nobody seems to care until the water's rising high
Does anybody care
Nobody seems to care when they've got their share of the pie
Does anybody care
Nobody seems to care until the water's rising high
Does anybody care
Nobody seems to care when they've got their share of the pie
Does anybody care
Nobody seems to care until the water's rising high

Now tell me who's watching the watcher
Who's keeping an eye
Who's watching the watcher
Who's keeping an eye
Nobody seems to care when they've got their share of the pie
Nobody seems to care until the water's rising high

Nobody seems to care when they've got their share of the pie
Nobody seems to care until the water's rising high
Nobody seems to care when they've got their share of the pie
Nobody seems to care until the water's rising high
Nobody seems to care when they've got their share of the pie
Nobody seems to care until the water's rising high
Nobody seems to care when they've got their share of the pie
Nobody seems to care until the water's rising high

Now tell me who's watching the watcher
Who's keeping an eye
Who's watching the watcher
Who's keeping an eye

Nobody seems to care when they've got their share of the pie
Nobody seems to care who's watching the watcher
