Johnny Was (from "Yardie" soundtrack)

Johnny Was (from "Yardie" soundtrack)

Woman hold her head and cried
'Cause her son had been shot down in the street and died
From the stray bullet
A woman hold her head and cried
Explaining to her was a passer by who
Saw the woman cry
Wondering
How can she work it out?
Now she knows that the wagers of sin is dead
Her gift of love is life
She cried

Oh, Johnny was a good man
Never did a thing wrong
Johnny was a good man
She cried

Woman hold her head and cried
'Cause her son had been shot down in the street and died
From the same system
A woman hold her head and cried
Comforting her, I was passing by
She complained and then she fight
She cried

(Oh, Johnny was a good man)
Can the woman turned to [?]
(Never did a thing wrong)
She's the one that caught the [?]
Someone is guilty
Johnny been shot down in the streets
All because of the system
What good is it? What good is it?
Johnny was, Johnny, Johnny was
Mama cries, she cries
Johnny was a good man
They killed her child, it's like [?]
They killed her child, it's like [?]
She cried
Johnny was a good man
Never did a thing wrong
Johnny was a good man

Woman hold her head and cried

From the same system
