Au petit trot s'en va le cheval avec ses grelots
Et le traineau joyeusement devale a travers les coteaux
Dans le vallon s'accroche l'hiver mais le ciel est bleu
Ah qu'il fait bon faire un tour au grand air
Comme deux amoureux

[At a gentle trot goes the horse with its bells
And the sledge happily goes around the slopes
In the small valley sticks the winter but the sky is blue
Ah it's so good to take a ride in the fresh air

Pres du grand feu de bois qui flambe et nous attend
