Bonjour!

Nascar

Nascar

(album: Small Town Friday Night - 2019)

Used to be at your house nine o'clock on a Friday
I'd pull in, honk twice in your driveway
You'd tell me you'd be out in five
Twenty minutes later, right on time

Cruising through town we had nowhere to go
Right in that front seat I felt so at home
Letting you drive girl oh I should've known
We'd be tearing up that road

We used to drive it like Nascar, fast car
Had me feeling like Earnhardt, junior
Through those old little backroads and boulevards
That was back when you had my heart, my heart

And we were never gonna slow down
We were gonna own this track
Should've made a pit stop on the way to the top
But we were moving too fast

Maybe we just needed new tires
Maybe we went one too many laps
Cause we started spinning out on the last quarter mile
And we crashed (crashed)... Nascar

Loving you was like Nascar

I seen't you with your girlfriends at the bar last Friday
A couple drinks in you kept looking my way
Like should we give it one more try (ha)
You know that'd be the millionth time

Baby I hope that you're happy and free
Racing through life at your own damn speed
And when you're alone and that light turns green
I hope you think of me

We used to drive it like Nascar, fast car
Had me feeling like Earnhardt, junior
Through those old little backroads and boulevards
That was back when you had my heart, my heart

We were never gonna slow down
We were gonna own this track
Should've made a pit stop on the way to the top
But we were moving too fast

Maybe we just needed new tires
Maybe we went one too many laps
Cause we started spinning out on the last quarter mile
And we crashed (crashed)... Nascar

Loving you was like Nascar

We used to drive it like Nascar, fast car
Had me feeling like Earnhardt, junior
Through those old little backroads and boulevards
That was back when you had my heart, my heart

We were never gonna slow down
We were gonna own this track
Should've made a pit stop on the way to the top
But we were moving too fast
