Bonjour!

The Rock

The Rock

(album: Battlefield - 1999)

He is a rock in the weary land
He is the shelter in the time of storm
He is my strength and my strong tower
He is my joy, hope of tomorrow
He is my peace in the dark hour
He is a rock in the weary land
A shelter in the time of storm

Come on, let's do it again
He is a rock, yes he is (He is a rock in the weary land)
Jesus is the shelter, thank you Lord (He is the shelter in the time of storm)
He is, and my strong tower (He is my strength and my strong tower)
Hope for tomorrow (He is my joy, hope of tomorrow)
He is my peace in the dark hour(He is my peace in the dark hour)
Jesus is the rock, yes he is (He is a rock in the weary land)
A shelter in the time of storm

Listen
Tell me where can I go
When I need a (savior)
And who can I call on
When there's no one to listen (I can call on Jesus)
I know he will help me

He is the rock, yes he is (He is a rock in the weary land)
Jesus is the rock (A shelter in the time of storm)

Hey, the rock is Jesus (The rock is Jesus)
Jesus is the rock (Jesus is the rock)
That rock is Jesus (The rock is Jesus)
Yes it is, yes it is, you know what (Jesus is the rock)
On Christ, the solid rock I stand, yeah, lordie (The rock is Jesus)
Yes he is, thank you Jesus (Jesus is the rock)
All on the ground and sinking sand (The rock is Jesus)
Yes it is, thank you Jesus (Jesus is the rock)

Hey, he is the rock, yes he is (He is a rock in the weary land)
Said that he is the rock, uh (He is a rock in the weary land)
My, my Jesus is the rock, thank you Jesus (He is a rock in the weary land)
He's a shelter (A shelter in the time of storm)

Come on, let's have some church in here
Put them hands together, everybody
How many of you know the rock is Jesus?
And when you need a shelter, you don't have to run to ya friend
But when you really need a shelter
How many of you know you can go to the rock?
Come on, choir
I want y'all to help me here
Ay, come on

When I need a shelter (when I need a shelter)
I go to the rock (I go to the rock)
I said when I need a shelter (when I need a shelter)
I go to the rock (I go to the rock)
How about this, when I need a friend (when I need a friend)
I can go to the rock (I go to the rock)
See, he will never, never let me down, no, no (when I need a friend)
I go to the rock (I go to the rock)
How about this, when I need a savior (when I need a savior)
I go to the rock (I go to the rock)
When I need a savior (when I need a savior)
I go to the rock (I go to the rock)
I go to the rock, thank you Jesus (I go to the rock)
I go to the rock, thank you Jesus (I go to the rock)
The rock is Christ Jesus, yes it is (I go to the rock)
My lord and my savior (I go to the rock)
When I need a shelter (when I need a shelter)
I go to the rock (I go to the rock)

Come on and praise him
Come on, come on, come on
You know what
Somebody need deliverance in here tonight
Uh-huh
Look at somebody and tell 'em neighbor
I don't know what you need
But you need to go to the rock
Listen
When I need deliverance (when I need deliverance)
