Bonjour!

Lovers' Field

Lovers' Field

(album: Stardust Five - 2006)

He sure was a lucky man
Sure was a lucky man
Sure was a lucky man
Grace flowing through his hands
Grace flowing though his hands
Sure had loving friends
Once was a lucky man
Sure was a lucky man
Sure was a lucky man
Grace flowing through his hands

We laid him down in Lovers field
We laid him down in Lovers field
We laid him down in Lovers field
On a strange windy day
On a dark windy day
We laid him down in Lovers field
Tears falling from our eyes
Tears falling from our eyes
We laid him down in Lovers field
On a strange windy day

Came a-knocking on his door
He was laying on his bed
Came a-knocking on his door
He was laying on his bed
Came a-knocking on his door
Trouble running in his head
Come again another day
I'm a-laying in my bed
Come again another day
I got daggers in my head
Swallow came in from the storm
Flew through the merry hall
High above the happy heads
Back into the raging storm
Swallow came in from the storm
High above the happy heads
Flew through the merry hall
Back into the raging storm
What'd you go and do that for ?
Didn't have to be this way
What'd you go and do that for?
Didn't have to be this way
What'd you go and do that for?
Didn't have to be this way
Doesn't make sense at all
Doesn't make sense at all
What'd you go and do that for?
Didn't have to be this way

Sure was a lucky man
Once was a lucky man
Sure was a lucky man
What'd you go and do that for?
Didn't have to be this way
What'd you go and do that for?
Sure was a lucky man
Doesn't make sense at all
Doesn't make sense at all
Once was a lucky man
Is it written in the stars above
Or written in these hands of ours?
Written in the stars above
Or written in these hands of ours?
Written in the books of old
Written in the rocks and stones?
Doesn't make sense at all
Doesn't make sense at all
What'd you go and do that for?
Didn't have to be this way

When I go, let me go
When I go, let me go
When I go, let me go
When I go, let me go
Lay me down in Lovers field
Lay me down in Lovers field
Lay me down in Lovers field
I'm going back to Lovers field
I'm going back to Lovers field
I'll see you all in Lovers field
I'll see you all in Lovers field
Where all the lovers go
Where all the lovers go
What'd you go and do that for?
What'd you go and do that for?
