The story of my life
In a four minute slice of time
Possibly a piece of auto fiction
Coloring the story my best addiction
Still, even as a kid
A little nomad with a strange bag of tricks
Too much self obsession and a mystical bent
Don't play well with others hardly heaven sent

And then a sound
Sent from who knows what kind of place?
But it's all around
Sending me into outer space

That it's always ringing out
From before in the afterglow
Where I hear it singing out

Cut to present day
I'm getting pretty good at getting in my own way
Not my finest hour
I'm well and truly pissed
Might as well add it
To the ever growing list
Of my many phases
I want to see the light through various hazes
And something pulls me back oh for heaven's sake
I get my act together a total piece of cake

Then the sound
Filling the room inside my heart
Where love abounds
And the villains are torn apart

There's a fair few friends looking out
To say what's up, or maybe just "hello"
And tell me whatever it's all about
