Staring at this lake for so long
I'm not even sure if that's me

Narcissus was an amateur

Turns out it's just a whole lot of trees

I'll wait for 1-2-3
If I beat the devil out of here
Maybe we can still meet for drinks

I can't rely on what appears to be
An alarming lack of vertebrae in me
Now in between these naps
Time and face collapse
And we realize a little less as
Hey, was that another year gone past?
Gone past

It's like I do it intentionally
Making mountains out of any old thing
Like I'm proud of doing things the hardest way
But time's so long these days
Satisfied with little victories
Should've been won yesterday

See I can't rely on what appears to be
