I walked through the gate, it creaked and then fell down
The sheep got in and chewed the vege garden to the ground
The fly screen's got a hole where I took a pot shot at a roo
And a squadron of bush blowies just keeps on flying through

While burning off, the barn caught fire and disappeared in smoke
The missus, well she's taken off with some other bloke
Well she just took up and left me and if that's not bad enough
The dog got up and left us, well you might say that times are tough

The overdraft is through the roof, so's the flaming rain
