Forgiveness is release not permission
Every single human being, by Grace, is worthy of it
That includes You and The Offender
I know. I know. I know
You didn't deserve the hurt or the abuse
And you don't deserve the pain
But what good is holding on to the offense if it's only stressing you out and bringing you down
Yes, you have every right to feel what you feel
But you also have every right to Release It and Send It Out of your life
Forgive it
And you'll Release It
Forgiveness is firstly a gift to You and then to the offender
It's a gift to You because doing so is a statement
A declaration that
No longer are you tying yourself to the weight of that wrong
No longer will you sit in the pit of sadness
When you Forgive, Joy has room to stretch out and bring you Peace again
It's a gift to the offender that presents an Opportunity for them to Do Better
And guess what
It's no longer your problem
What if You are the offender
It's all good
We all fumble
We all fall
Own your part
Repent
Apologize and Forgive Yourself
No longer do you have to hold the guilt of the offense
The way is now clear to get to Healing and Correction
No, you don't have to allow them back in your space after you have forgiven them
But at least you know your space is clear for Brighter Days to come again
You owe it to yourself
And that amazing future
